· Session One: Introduction: the aims and objectives of the course. |
· Session Two: Presentations: introduction to different types of presentation; considering the purposes behind presentations. |
· Session Three: Preparation and Timing: how to prepare effectively for a presentation; gaining confidence and maintaining accuracy of delivery. |
· Session Four: Non-verbal Communication: professional delivery of a presentation; body language and breathing. |
· Session Five: Audio Visual Aids: audio visual aids as a help rather than a hindrance; choosing the right audio visual aids; computer generated presentations. |
· Session Six: Using Notes: the advantages and disadvantages of using notes; how to use notes creatively within a presentation. |

· Session Seven: Group Presentations: the dynamics of working in a group; group etiquette; preparing as a group. |
· Session Eight: Practice session: in this session each delegate is given the opportunity to give a brief presentation and to receive individual feedback. |
